The windshield on my new to me 650 has some scratches that I would like to attack with something like Meguiars Plastx restorer, but I wonder if the shield has a clear coat of some kind? Can anyone out their in Burgy Land enlighten me?

I have plastix. I tried using it on my fading 400 oem shield. Doesn't work well at all
I use muliple passes of meguiars ultimate polish. Stays nice and cleae till it wears out.
Imo it has some uv protection on it. I dont think clear coat
Better than orher wshields where its not even transparent. Like the sym and kymco scooters. The suzuki is the same quality as helmet visors clear-ness wise

if it isn't in direct line of sight a bumper sticker or a pitcher of a nekkidish lady will work real good for covering it up
