Dr Pulley Sliders Issue, 2006 Burgman 400

Hi All,

I have installed 18g Dr Pulley sliders in my 2006 Burgman 400.

I read somewhere, someone said you need to file down/smooth the edges of the ramp plate. Well, I did not. Look what happened after 100 miles.

Seems one of them got out of alignment. No idea how this happened. Maybe during the install.

Notice the grooves.

Anyone else have this issue?

I've had the edges of the sliders get chewed up due to the sharp edge on the ramp plate (maybe the SYM since that was my first one). Wasn't as clean of a groove as in your pic, though. But if the slider sat fully out for any length of time I could see how that sharp edge would cut a groove.

Depending on how hard the steel is, a file may not cut it, so to speak. If you have a Dremel with a grinding stone, that works well and quickly. Just put a slight bevel on all the edges where the sliders move out.
