Accessory power drops?

Does the Burgman have electrical hookups already in place for electrical accessories(spare power drops already wired and in place awaiting use)? My Concours actually has an accessory power drop under the dash and under the seat which was really nice to be able to tap into. Admittedly I haven't seen a lot of other bikes do something like this unless it was the higher end bikes or luxury touring segment. Does the Burgman happen to have accessory power drops on the bike anywhere? Or is this something that has to be added by the owner? I am thinking it would be nice to have some more accessible DC power plugs/ports on the dash, and other powered accessories. Thoughts? Experiences? It would be nice to have some switched outlets that turn on and off with the key.

I just discovered that there is a extra electrical connector for adding the OEM heated grips. It's in behind the headlamps and if you remove the trim above the headlamps you'll be able to see the empty white plug. This makes adding the grips simply plug and play. It sort of like one of those power connectors inside a computer where you can plug in power for an extra drive.

I don't know helpful it would be with other aftermarket accessories, though, since they probably wouldn't have the matching plug end.

It may be possible to use the wires for a 12v tap, without using the plug, depending on the creativity and skills of the person.

That is very good to know. I do plan on getting the OEM grip heaters some time next year so that is one positive. Does anyone know the size of the fuse used on the circuit that the power outlet is on? Is the power outlet that already exists switched with the ignition or always hot? Thanks again for the great info.

A guess would be that it's switched to the ignition. Short of the underseat light, and the battery drainer (parking light), not sure if any electrical accessories are active when the ignition is switched off. I'm pretty sure the hand warmers would be off if the ignition was also off.

Ah, so that's what that plug was for. I used mine to power the running-light filaments on my bike. I can confirm that it's switched with the ignition, but I don't know the circuit rating. I'd bet it comes through a 10A fuse, maybe the same one as the cigarette lighter socket in the glove box.
For other accessories, all you get is that socket. I added a Powerlet socket on the side cover just below the seat:

It's wired into the battery just after the 40A main fuse (but with another 10A fuse inline) so it's always on.

There's another connector on the wiring harness near the under-seat fuses (tucked away under the plastic cover). I don't know what it's for, or even whether/when it's live (I should'a checked while I was fooling around in there) but based on wire colors and other clues, I wouldn't be surprised to find that it's another accessory connector, probably also switched with the ignition. It might make an easy place to tap for an electric vest or something, if you don't mind drawing 4-5A through a skinny little wire. (I do mind, so I have phat wires running all over the place.)
