08 front brake replacement

About to embark on my first front brake replacement for my 08 400. Do I have to take the front wheel off the bike to work on the brakes?

Can I work on the brakes with the tire still?

Also do I work on them one at a time or disconnect both and do them both at the same time. (I know that I have to still work on them one at a time even if I do them both at the same time) :) What I meant was do I disassemble one caliper and complete the replacement then go to the next one or remove both and work on them both at the same time.

It's best to do one at a time, take caliper off, clean piston so you don't scrap the seals and push them in and install pads. Do the same on the other side, don't forget to put a bit of brake grease on the pins. Keep your eyes on the oil level when you push the pistons in.
