What Engines Can I Swap Into My 2013 Suzuki Burgman AN400?

I need to swap the engine in my 2013 Burgman AN400. I know I'm very unlikely to find a replacement from the same year, but from what I understand Suzuki parts are pretty interchangeable between years.
I've been looking online for something suitable, but I just don't know how to tell if anything is appropriate for mine. Hoping to get some help here, because I don't want to spend two grand to find out I can't use what I bought.

Here's what I've found so far:

665 A SUZUKI BURGMAN AN 400 2020 OEM ENGINE | eBay

EB693 2012 12 SUZUKI BURGMAN AN400A MOTOR ENGINE + TRANSMISSION GEARBOX | eBay

Any advice anyone can offer is appreciated. I'm eagar to get back on the road.

2010 to 2018 year model should be completely trouble free I think. (L0 to L8)

2007 to 2009 (K7-K9) should fit physically but have internal differences - I don’t know how that might effect the EMS, injection pulse etc.
there would be a small difference on the speedo if you use this earlier fInal drive, it has a different ratio

edit: year error in first line

2018 has different stator assembly to earlier ones.(32101-K00-000)

2013 to 2016 are all same.(32101-15GA1-000)

2007-2012 Different part number to later ones (32101-15G51-000),

(And the latest ones are twin plug head).
Edit - added...
The third generation also has a lower compression (10.6:1 vs 12.6:1) and lower emissions (Euro 4 compliant).

What specifically is wrong with your 2013 engine?

Either of those should fit, however, think I'd pass on that 2020 engine. Looks like the pivot boss is busted and the starter motor looks like it's not fully seated. Think that engine came out of a nasty accident.

edit: nevermind...bluestrom answered whilst I was typing...
curious what the internal differences are? 2018 the throttle body had the secondary throttle removed. not sure of the internal differences other then the final drive ratio as you mentioned 👇

Wired, where are you located? Maybe someone close to you can drop over and take a peek.

I am but 1/2 hour ride from RAIN CENTRAL CITY (Seattle)

I'd take the old engine off your hands if you get another one. I need a 400 engine block for a mockup, non runner works fine.

You live in Seattle? I'm in Port Angeles. I go to Renton regularly to play poker. I'll keep you in mind for when I find a replacement. I certainly won't need the old one as a paper weight.

I live in Auburn. Port Angeles is a 2 1/4 hour ride so I don't think I could just ride over and take a look at the old one.

So, to summarize, engine failed after an oil change (by who ??), "Maybe" caused by an internal or unnoticed external oil leak , is either a situation B400 owners need to be aware/vigilant or was a "Human Factor" AKA F/U !!.

These engines don't hold a lot of oil and have no oil pressure indication, a real F/U by Suzuki IMO, maybe we need to revisit a FIX for this, I have a few ideas ... ;)
