Funny I switched two relatives vehicles to synthetic when they had drips, using Mobil 1 high mileage for two changes. Now it doesn't drip. Synthetic is same weight as dino if you use the same weight. It just has different lubricating technology, usually causing less resistance, less wear. Yet synthetic also clings to surfaces better so it should cause less leakage I would think. Most also have additives aimed at keeping seals in good shape and leaks at bay.
I noticed during random checks the plastic filler plug comes a little lose over time and oil will escape and collect dust over the area around it. I guess it could drip but 15,000 miles later it never has. I use Mobil 1 Motorcycle 4T ONLY.
