I have a 2003 650 Burgman and the headlights look great. They appear to be as clear as new. It has less than 10000 miles and may have been garage stored in its earlier years. I'm wondering if the clear headlights are normal on a model this old or if they are simply manufactured differently than automobile headlights. Just looking for feedback from the group on their experience on this topic.

I just bought new cheap replacement headlights for my 06 Ford Ranger and I just treated them with Meguires headlight coating to prevent future deterioration. I've read these cheaper non-oem units are not coated like the oem units. The coating is a annual preventive task. I also need to restore the headlights on our 2013 Nissan Altima and plan to coat them afterwards. The can probably won't have enough to coat all 3 vehicle headlights and I was wondering if it's worth ordering a 2nd can.

I sometimes suspect the lenses on my 15 650 are actually glass

Seems to be UV and weather that breaks them down so if garaged they should stay clear a long time.

Yes we have those kits….. you would think after a couple years the auto manufacturers would be able to correct the problem ….but nope…..they don’t want people buying old used cars.

My 2006 headlights looks like new. I wish my dims were just a touch brighter.
You can buy stronger halogen bulbs, but there is a trade off on hours they'll last. Sylvania best and brightest have less than 100 hours, memory says 80 some. They're about 60.00 a pair. Stopped using in my car because they wouldn't last even a year. However little as i ride they will last many years in my 2009 AN650.

My 2008 an400 headlights are clear. I keep them clean and apply Honda spray wax & cleaner often (great stuff, it's Miracle Shyte in a can!).
Same for our Forte. Clean off those %&@#$ love bugs asap.
For really grungy headlights, try Mother's Mag Wheel Polish.

I also have a 2003 650 Burgman that currently has 8400+ miles on it and the headlights look like new. I clean them with Invisible Glass cleaner. Sorry, I don't have any pics of the front.

Please note Invisible Glass Cleaner has no business on anything other than glass. No plastics of any sort. It has a petroleum component that can harm some plastics. I had a 1981 R100RT. I didn't read and turned my stock windshield into a total mess. It looked as though it was a fried cracked marble. Restating only use on glass, not a multiuse product.

I have NEVER had any problem using invisible glass on my headlights, windshield, taillights, dash panel or body panels. I spray it on, let it set for about 30 seconds and gets plastic lenses crystal clear.

On the container you own of this product, does it suggest use on plastics or use on things made of anything else other than glass? I'm just trying to make sure we are talking about the same product?

No where does it say do not use on plastic.
That's your 1st best clue your directions.
Varnish doesn't have a warning not to put in fuel tank?
Nowhere on the packaging is the word plastic nor multi use cleaner is mysteriously not there either.
People millions of times misuse products every day. That product ruined a 260.00 BMW windshield it caused the windsheild to crack to internal looking like a cracked marble even in scale.. This was a warning to only use this product within its stated use in directions GLASS. MISUSE AS YOU PLEASE. FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. GOOD DAY.
