The Up-Down facility on my K6 AN650 Executive has stopped working. The headlights dim when the 'screen switch is pressed; I have checked as OK (by Ohm-meter) the fuses in the compartment in front of the air filter. Does the adjacent (relay?) operate the windscreen, and if so, how can I check that it's working?- I have cleaned the two terminals with contact cleaner. There are also two single-connectors on the 'bars next to the (R) brake cylinder, but neither has voltage potential when the 'screen switch is activated (ignition ON). Can anyone suggest what to check next, please?

Either the mechanism is jammed (too long of bolts in the windscreen) or the motor is frozen hence the lights dimming because its pulling voltage. If your sure the screen bolts are OK and its not otherwise jammed pulling the panels off to access the motor you might free it by pressing the switch and lightly tapping on the motor case with a small hammer.

Many thanks for your comments MJR; it appears the windscreen may have been 'stressed' a little by over-zealous tightening of the rain-cover and caused it to bind. A little help to unbind it worked - now operating like new! thank you.
