I just recently got bought a 2008 Burgman 650 Exec and want to add a brake light modulator to be more visible. The Wig Wag seems popular but I also see Kisan and Dyna-Flash. All seem to get good reviews (mostly) and range from $17 for the Dyna to $100+ for the Kisan with the Wig Wag somewhere in the middle. I'm wanting to hear from anyone that can help me compare these or others before I buy.

Thanks.

I can comment on the Skene P3's, as I have them installed. http://www.lights.skenedesign.com/P3_Features.shtml Don't have direct experience with the others you mentioned.

I went with the P3 lights because they offer modulation, a conspicuity flicker (see their website for a good explanation), and the addition of very bright LEDS. Various features of the lights are user programmable as well.

Since I have added the P3's, my impression is traffic behind me responds more quickly to braking, and stays further behind me at stops.

I have used the kisantech tailblazer and it's super easy no wiring, PLug and play but a little pricey as you sad, but your paying for ease of install, the others I use on my FJR are http://www.hyperlites.com/ they come with everything and different number of LEDs, but are extra instead of modulating the main brake lights.

I think I have one of the brightest flashing stoplights on the market. There is a long thread on it on the Burgman USA forum. It's made by Nova Electronics in Boise Idaho. The part number is SD24R. At night you can see it from three blocks away. It fits in the spot where the red reflector is under the license plate. When installed it looks like it came with the bike.

Kisan tailblazers

I bought Kisan tailblazers in 2009 for a Burgman Exec. When I sold that, I took the bulbs out and used them on the C50. When I sold that, I put them on my 400, where they are today. They came with extra bulbs. Have not had to replace any bulbs yet. The bulbs are halogen, so very bright. They flash then slow to steady.

hmmm...there is no "one" best brake light modulator. I'm partial to my Kisan Tailblazers. Pops in right where the stock OEM bulbs are, flasher is built into the bulb housing base. They sent me two spare bulbs, and that was several years ago (haven't needed one yet). And if I need a replacement bulb, I can get one at Wal Mart or any hardware store. But there are also LED modulators, etc which anybody who owns one will make an argument for. SO once again, its possible that you might have to do your own research to find out which is the 'best' one for YOUR application.

Virtually any brake light is visible from three blocks away. My Kisan's are 20w and my wife has remarked that if I'm ahead of her at night, she could seem me 'way up the road' (half a mile or more) so she knew right where I was in traffic.

This is going to be a stupid question, but, you have to buy 2 of the bulbs for the Burgman 650 right?
