I've looked at pics on the web and can't tell if the white color on the 2011 650 is the same as the pearl metallic white on the 2012. Would anyone be able to tell me if both year models are the same white color?

If you know your paint code you can look up 2011 parts at, nevermind I just looked and the paint code is the same YPA.
