The Web Site lists the 400 at close to 30 inches wide. Is this measured from mirror to mirror? Where is the widest part? Please let me know, as I am making room in my garage!

Thank you in advance.

If you are short on space it might be best to go measure one on the showroom floor. The 400 is a BIG bike. I have a top box on mine and it totally dwarfs my 1200 Kawasaki ! It's closer to a Gold Wing than a Vespa.

Thanx,
Russ

P.S. The mirrors are the widest but I don't think that is included in the 30 inch dimension.

If it's not the mirrors it has to be the handlebars, I think.

I keep my 400 in a very limited space, between a cinder-block wall and a 1971 MGB. I constantly fear hitting one or the other while parking, and sometimes scrape the wall (on the low side) with the mirror when settling it down on the kickstand.

In other words, if you possible can, make a little extra room! The bike is bigger than it looks. You won't regret it.

Have fun with your 400! I love mine!

the biggest part of mine when I am on it is my rump...

If you put it on the sidestand, might need a little more room as well. I have trouble with the centerstand sometimes so I leave mine on the sidestand and have to move stuff(toys  ) because of the lean.

Good comment Jim regarding turning the handlebars toward the lean. I could not believe how big the 400 is as compared to my old Savage in the garage. Definitely make sure you have enough room to put the scoot in. Otherwise you may need to leave your car out in the driveway :D

I!
I'm not sure what they measure but I can tell you that when I put mine in my barn (pole barn with concrete floor) though the small door I have to fold the mirrors in to get it though the door, but the handle bars go just fine.
