Hi Gentle Folks,

Reporting...

AN 650 - 2003

19,000 km - I ride every day, 365 days a year, rain, hail or shine :)

Front wheel bearings - crunchy at low speed last week (November 18 2004)

Replaced by dealer straight away.

Very quiet at the front now, except for the windscreen whistle (@ 60 - 70 km/hr) which I can fix now thanks to burgmanusa forum.

Sunday afternoon, I checked the rear and found rear wheel is loose as well.

Back to dealer on Monday (Why didn't they check the rear?????)

Still love it but all this talk about bad batches of bearing is starting to wear me a little....

I've been riding for nearly 40 years and have only ever replaced wheel bearings on off road bikes.

Valve clearance next service, how scared should I be ...

Regards
nev

Valve clearance adjustment service cost

Hi vfdcaptain,

Ordinarily you are quite correct, Aussies are afraid of nothing, but

I've heard numbers from $400 to $700 to adjust the valves !!!!!!
