Okay all you scooter buffs; can anyone tell me what kind of machine this is?

Looks like a Benelli Adiva. Roofs, and roof conversions, are getting quite common in Europe, I wonder if this is the way we are going??? Not for me though just yet :)
It's the Diamo Velux. One website that has a little more info is :

These guys seem to sell a lot of Diamo products :

Paul also posted other pics from Scootercade of the Velux. See :

Thanks for the info, Bill.

I'd seen the BMW C1; didn't like the lines very well, although the idea was intiguing.

The Velux seems to me to have got it right (if you like that sort of thing). It seems to flow better.

I may make a winter project of designing something like that as a Burgman retrofit.

Or not. :D

And I thought I was ambitious planning to replace the windshield and mod the seat.

I did see a picture online of a guy in the U.K. or mainland Europe who actually did retro fit something similar to his 650 Burgman. I will see if I can relocate the pic.
Allan,

Something like this?

Vetex & Co.
The Velux (made in China) and the BMW C200 were both brought to Scootercade by the same guy. "Fit and finish" on the Velux was not in the same class as the much more expensive BMW of course. It is only a 150cc machine, capable of about 65 mph max. But it always drew a crowd of onlookers. At approximately $3,800 it had a lot of standard equipment goodies.

Convertible hard top: It is hinged and folds down neatly into the big rear trunk.

Windshield wiper and washer.

Four speaker stereo system. I think it had a CD player too.

Alarm system.

Remote control keyfob: This could start / stop the scooter from up to 50 feet away. It could also activate or deactivate the alarm system.

When out and around town, I had several locals and tourists ask me about Scootercade (we wore our badges everywhere for discounts). One of the first things they always mentioned was seeing those two scooters with roofs riding around. Very high attention grabbers.

I would hope so; as near as I can tell, "Diamo" is their in-house label for Kymco products.
Yup - exactly same bike as the Benelli Adiva. They were available over here back in 2000 and are still in Bebelli's scooter line up, I guess they are being made under licence all over the place now, under various names. All the Italian scooter companies are fairly incestuous when parts and engines are concerned, I think this one has a Gilera or Piaggio engine?
