Hope this is not found to be a rude subject....but thought it might be helpful to perspective Burgman owners.
What are folks paying for a new Burgman 400 with full 1 yr factory warranty in the summer of 2015 ??
I paid $6700, ",out the door"(including taxes) for a new, left-over, 2013 400ABS, in my choice of color.
It was an internet price from a small Midwestern shop with one '13 ea. color. Negotiated a fair delivery fee, and they brought it in a covered trailer and we completed the paperwork in my garage. Very easy transaction....... the scoot had 5 miles on the clock & was showroom clean/new.

I stumbled across this new 2013 400 last yr, paid $5889, OTD, (w/ TT&L= $6332) w/ 0 miles. Bought it w/ their 0%/60mo promo financing, so no money down. 1yr warranty
just expired a couple days ago.

The dealer I bought mine from has a 2012, new 400 priced at $4899.00 that's of course without ttl, but I'll bet it includes set up.
They also have a 2013 Silver Wing new for $5999.00

Which of course means mines worth squat! At least no interest.$

I paid about $7400 OTD for a new 2014. I know I paid too much but there wasn't another one anywhere around.

wow that grey one looks sharp, with red accents :) I would look around but I'm too cheap at the moment. Plus my 08 has only 22,000 miles.

In may, I paid $7700 OTD for a 2014. The 2013 was $500 less, but I liked the gloss black of the '14. Otherwise they are identical and I did not see any 2015 models at all. Anyway that is still less than the MSRP of $8K !! There is a photo of this scooter in the photo gallery. Check it out.

Everything costs more here in California. We are used to paying more.

My local dealer's "best price" for a customer, who has purchased 2 scooters and a motorcycle from them, was $8400, OTR

So, I went with the $6700 93 miles away.

I paid around $6,200 out the door for my brand new, 0 miles, 2014 this month. The bike was on closeout for $5,999.

With "out the door" prices, a lot depends upon the sales tax and dealer prep. In MN, the sales tax (6.5%) is based upon the price of the new vehicle minus the trade-in.

I just bought a 2014 model for $7,800 OTD. Like San Diego Joe said, everything is very expensive here in Ca. The manufacturer suggested retail was $7,999. They offered 2k off with 0% financing for 60 months. I think it was a great deal in San Jose.

Just bought a 2016 650 Burgman for $7000 OTD with my 2009 Burgman 650 non ABS as part of the trade. The dealer took off $1000 - $9995 before negotiations

A local shop has a new 2013 400 for sale, though I didn't see the price.

It's almost embarassing, but I think that I get the award for paying the most for a 2015 Burg 400 (back at the end of Oct 2015)! The sale price was $6599, which is what attracted me. Then the dealer added on "documentation, freight, set up, CA sales tax, license, and CA tire fee which resulted in a grand total of $8,294.82.

This was the only new Burg 400 that I could find within a reasonable distance from my home (100 mile round trip). And as San Diego Joe said, everything costs more in California and we're used to it so we pay it. But because of that reason, I am pretty darn sure that this will be the last motor bike that I will buy new.

I was recently quoted $10,300 before taxes on a new 2016 Burgman 650. The dealership has one in stock.

Wow...10.3 before taxes. ...and might get 5.5 for it after it rolls off of the lot!
At least a SW, with msrp about the same when new... can be repaired.
Seen new SW belt installed on the side of the road.
650 guys sure are a dedicated bunch.
