Well well,I wondered why my new '14 UH200 was so dang loud!

I put a new Michelin City Grip 2 front tire on my 200 today. I was inspecting the front and rear brake pads, the front were shot totally and the rear was getting very low but is not nearly as urgent as the front. I called my local shop and ordered a set of EBC's. While I was back there inspecting the rear brakes what did I spy??? The upper bracket on the back of the muffler was broken clean off with a 50 cent size piece of the muffler too. So I took all 3 mounting bolts off and loosened the clamp where it joins to the header pipe and slipped it off. It was still AM so I took it to my local muffler shop and he said no problem just leave it with him. I went back this afternoon after my PM run and picked it up no charge! I took it home bolted it on and man what a huge difference it made! It cranks better, runs a hell of a lot better and the sound is exactly what I wanted from the start, nice and quiet!! I thought the dang thing sounded waaay too loud to be a stock muffler!! LOL The bracket attaches on the back side where you can't see it so I don't feel bad about missing it!! So happy with the results,it's been running a bit lean and sounded like crap. Not any more,it runs like new!! I can't blame the last owner,I missed it too till I got down on the floor and was looking behind the muffler at the hidden caliper. The patched up muffler bolted back on like a brand new one, everything lined up perfect! Amazing!!! So I rode the wife around a little after all that and she digs it too!! YEAH! That huge back seat is a God send! BTW the bike came with a like new Kenda on the rear so with the new Michelin on the front she's good to go. When the rear wears down I'll put a Michelin on the rear too. As I work out all the bugs on this bargain priced UH200 I'm more and more pleased! I ordered a new belt the other day so that's next on the agenda. That and a coolant and brake fluid change. Cheers!

I too went to the Michelins on my UH200.A much better tire than the factory tires that cupped.
Both front and rear after 5,000 miles. The bike just feels better at speed.
Thanks for the heads up on the muffler. I'll keep a eye out on mine.

The factory tires on my 200 were... sub-optimal... on wet pavement. ABS helped, but swapping to City Grips was a night-and-day difference.

I think that, when I finally run my 08 AN400 into the ground, which won't be easy, I'll look at a 200, seem like nice bikes
