Just curious what the weather is were you are this year?

Certainly different this year by us.

Last year was very dry and hot. Highs hitting 100, and lows in the mid 70's, Dew points in the 70's (ugh), that lasted for 2 months.

This year was a wet spring, hot for a few weeks, and now for the last few weeks it feels like Fall. Temps in the mid to upper 70's, and lows in the upper 50's. Dew pints in the 50's. Ideal for riding.

We were out riding yesterday afternoon and noticed a few trees starting to turn, and Sumac starting the turn red, and leaves staring to fall in our driveway.

Our garden is about 3 weeks early, and we seen a family of deer playing around in our neighbors front yard, something usually seen in Autumn. It seems to be a funky year.

Is summer a month shorter this year, or is it just here?

Here along the coast we had several years of high temps and lack of rain. We had drought where rainfall was down 9-10 inches from normal. This year we have had a milder summer temps about 10 Degrees lower on average and it was extremely wet this season, running 14+ inches above normal. The farmers may not get a second crop in because the fields are to wet. :(

So, yes it has been crazy this year.

This year has been flat out weird here in the Piedmont.

Cold spring, then a blast of heat into the summer , but more rain than usual. Depending on who is counting we are between 9" and 11" over our normal this year for rain fall.

more rain days, sometimes more than once a day, but less rain total, soil is powder dry an inch below the surface, but if thunder was copper I could plate the whole county an inch thick and have plenty of high spots.

(our county is bigger than some northeastern states, and has a crackhead population as large as the entire population of some midwestern states)

If I commented on our rainfall average this year, all you Easterners will sell off and move here, like all of our Californian buddys did in the 80's and 90's. :p

We went the whole month of July with no measurable amount of rain. Temps in the high 80'sF :eek:ccasion9: This is our normal for August and early September. Looks like I need to do my annual warning about falling leaves on the pavement early. :D

We have had way too much rain, 15+ inches over normal, as compared to being 8 to 9 inches below normal last couple of years. I was beginning to think we had a climate change, like we changed with the Pacific NW! July and August are usually fairly dry, we shall see.

Lake Conroe North of Houston is having another drouth. We are about 12" short of rain. The temp on my weather station is currently 106F with a heat index of 116. I am looking forward to mid Sept for some 85F and 65F nights. I am ready for some climate change but not global warming.

I live about 70 miles away and I think it has rained almost every day this summer. The rain is spotty so every time I go anywhere, I run through a shower or two or three before I get home.

We had a cool spring and early summer (well cool by Texas standards). The heat has finally made it here though. This week has been mostly 100+ days with heat advisories just about every day. Cooled off a little today and no heat advisory but it still made it over 100. We average 17 days over 100 a year and it looks like by the end of this week we will be getting close to that 17. Of course that 17 is just an average, in 2011 we had 71 days over 100.

While the temperatures have been cool we have not had a lot of rain. It has been wetter than the last couple of years but not enough to get us up to our average rainfall for the year. And nowhere near enough to bust the long term drought we have been in. Most of our water supply lakes are at 60 to 70% of capacity.

I live in the desert of So. Cal. going on 43 years now. We had our August weather in July. That is we had our couple of 120 days. Started August in the double digits but here it is the 15th and having our first day of over 110 for August. Be nice to have double digits by Labor Day.

Here on the left coast of FLA it's been raining pretty much every day. It'll probably rain to day and into the foreseeable future.

I think I got my map flipped around and I'm really in Wash.

100+ here in May, then cool in June and early July. Since then 100-110 most days. It was 109 yesterday and supposed to be the same today. Our average rainfall is down this year. January through May were the driest five months in recorded history for those months. We have lots of color here (Mostly shades of Brown!).

The Southeast has been wet with record setting low's temps. It looks like a rain forest here, everything is lush....has really cut into my riding time, though.
