Yesterday, I changed the engine oil, oil filter and the transmission fluid. The engine oil part was straight forward. What was the engineer thinking of when he or she designed the transmission oil set up. The filler is a joke. I used a funnel with a rubber tube coming out of it. Fill till oil comes ourt of the center hole. STUPID. Totally stupid concept.

Actually, that 'oil out the hole' idea has been a pretty common routine for many years. Y'ever fill an auto's rear end?

The overflow hole is okay. It is the filler that is a problem.

The idea is to use the overflow hole as the filler hole. Just pour oil in the hole until it starts overflowing.

Cheers,

My first attempt to change the transmission oil change was tricky, I snaked a flexible tubing to the filler hole without removing all the recommended plastic body parts completely.

All what is needed is a piece of tubing threaded at the end, similar to the filler tube used on automobile transmissions but much shorter. This tool would be very in-expensive to manufacture. Anyone agree?
Once I get a chance I’ll try to make one as I have other projects to complete.
