I agree, the Silverwing is classed as a 600, but is actually a 582 cc. As long as the paperwork is legit, and the VIN numbers match, it shouldn't be a problem to get it fixed at the registry. Some states like Massachusetts allow you to change specifics as long as they are obvious errors.

A a side note: Corporate Honda's customer service maintains a master list of VIN numbers with the corresponding engine numbers, (Suzuki does the same thing). They will NOT tell you the engine number, but will verify the VIN and engine serial numbers you provide. They will simply say "NO" those do not match or "YES" they do... If the answer is yes.. You can order a certificate of origin with engine size, serial number and VIN as supporting documentation.... Or... You can drive it the way it is... It is still a 600 Silverwing...

If you updated your profile to show your location then folks may be able to give you accurate help.

The Honda Silverwing was produced with a '400' engine and may have been imported to your location.

Norm is correct, in the USA the Silverwing is a 600 but in other countries it could also be a 400.

Was the 400 'Wing a single or a twin?

From what I have been told, the 400 is just a 600 with the bore and stroke of the engine reduced to 400 so it would be a twin.
