Hi All,

Just bought a wrecked k6 650, got it running and rode it around a bit this evening. WOW what a cool bike! I've owned a couple dozen bikes down thru the years and the Bergman is now among the top favorites for sure.

It was totalled but only had a little lay down on the right side. Fairingss need a little work but other that that the bike is fine. 23,xxx on the clock, needs an oil change and maybe a new rear tire. So I'm pretty happy

Thanks

Welcome to the forum :hello2: and congratulations on you acquisition.

You clearly know what you are about But if you replace those damaged panels with OEM parts you will buy the bike again. However if you are handy you can probably fettle them yourself even if you leave the final paint job to a paintshop. You may find that the mounting plates in key areas have been distorted in the impact and may need replacement.

Good luck and let us know how you proceed ( with pictures ) if possible.

Oh Gosh!

That looks worse than I imagined, it looks that has taken some damage in the instrument panel area and there is a helluva lot of cabling routed through that area. That is going to require a careful and severe optical bollocking to ensure there is no incipient defects to cables/insulation..

Good luck.
