Valve adjustment

It has been just over one week with my Burgman 400 and at 800 miles, I would like to check the valves. My shop manual is backordered. Does one have procedure or scan of the shop mnual that I can follow.

Im in the same situation. I think the manual will take awhile from what I've been reading.
