if the spedometer cable (to the rear of cvt cover) was disconnected, can an obd unit tell me something more?
many seem to do it here and curious if the ecu has more data to pull from it than whats showing in the dash?

A disconnected speedo cable is definitely a Red Flag !

You might get the Vin # and go to a Suzuki shop and pull the maintenance and recall history ?

Here in the US you can get/buy an AutoCheck that tells you most everything repairs, collisions, registration renewals.

There is no OBD II system for theses bikes. In fact, you can buy a new Speedo head for your year bike and replace yoyr 280,000 mile speedo head. There is no way to check electronically.
