like to update profile is there a place to do that and how to update picture

Look on the left side just above the advertisement banner and you will see User Control Panel. Click on that and it will take you to a menu where you can do your updates.

And it looks like the answer has changed with the new software. Looks like you now need to click on the "UserCP" button in the middle of the blue bar above the ads at the top.

or click on your own name in any post that will take you to the basic profile

btw noticed whilst i was there - there is an option to switch off intellitext ads - i was not siwtch off by default - not sure what that means - but fyi

I can move the user cp closer to the left if it makes it easier.
