I will be riding in Colorado next month. Last year Irode with my Bro-in-law and sister from Grand Junction thru Ouray to durango and then to Mesa verde. Then to Teulluride and reversed our route to Naturita, Gateway to GC. So red rocks and red mountain passes. Unbelievably beautiful, especially since I now live in Kansas. My Brother in law was amazed at the power of the Burgie, and my willingness to lean it over to a degree he would not or maybe could not emulate with his HD ultraglide!
I Started this missive just to repond to your comments on the mule deer doe that you saw. Whitetail deer are generally smaller than the Mule deer found in the west. But since the Whitetail basically feast on young corn and soybeans and NO sagebrush, they are cosnsiderably better tasting, even if they is less meat.
