Hello, I was thinking. Can I take the primary pully adapter bolt from a 2007 and put it on a 2005 cvt and put in a 2008 engine? I think it may work but need to be sure.

Yes.

The Stopper bolt from 2002 thru 2008 is the same.

The CVT from 2002 thru 2018 will interchange, newer is better.

Dave he said primary pulley adapter bolt unless he meant stopper bolt. :) But the adapter bolt is the same 2005-2018. The stopper bolt is interchangeable from 2002-2010 but you want the later silver colored one (not gold).

So I take it the engine is bad in the 2005?

Well my bike is a 2007and it has this grinding sound coming from the back half of the cvt. I found a 2005 engine that is good so I was thinking that I could take the cvt from the 05 in the 07 engine but Chang the primery pully bolt. Which should work right? First I will take off the cvt from the 07 split it and look it over good. My bike has 34,056 miles on the clock. Any suggestions will be appreciated. 👍✌

I'd get a new adapter bolt (same both years) and stopper bolt (silver colored one).
