My Suzuki dealer wanted $147 plus $39 installation.

My rear tire developed a bulge in the tread yesterday, at only 8,700 miles and
only 8 months old. At first I noticed a very slight shimmy while leaning into a turn. Then the shimmy became noticable at low speed, and by the time I got home, the whole bike was shaking.

I think I'm going to switch to Pirelli. 8) I don't trust Bridgestone anymore :( since they merged with Firestone, and a bulging motorcycle
tire destroys my confidence in Bridgestone. This is the same old
problem I had with Firestone on my Ford Explorer, where a BRAND NEW
Firestone developed a bulge within only 50 miles :? !! I switched to
Goodyear and have no problems since.

I just found an extensive thread on tires at this site:

Go to the Burgman 650 folder
and then the folder, "Replacement Tires"

BAD, BAD, BAD News on tires. :(

None in stock anywhere in North America. and extremely difficult to find. :?

The consensus is to order your tires NOW BEFORE your original tires go out. It can take 6 months or longer to get a set of tires !

Order my tires a month ago and the dealer does not expect them for another month and a half. With 10,000 miles on the existing OEM tires, I expect that my Burgman 650 will be sitting idle real soon while I wait on tires. No joy! :(
