I went on a group ride and followed a bike with Orange tires. When we stopped I checked them out and only the tread pattern was colored orange. I asked him where he got custom tires and he said they were painted on with Tire Penz. A paint pen for tires.
Well my pimped out scoot sure needed this add on so I ordered a set in Blue. I don't recomend this for Michelin City Grips as it took forever to fill in the intricate tread design. It is tedious and time consuming but I really like the results. Judge for yourselves in the pics below (last one is in motion).
I love my Blue Tires.

I got them here http://www.tirepenz.com/default.asp but saw them at a bike rally too. I got the $19.95 kit and used most all of it.
The Eagle was given to me. I think it had been repackaged and bought at a flea market in South Carolina. Sorry no help here
Too Much time Dandy........ Yes. The GW project didn't last long enough and is gone. ;)

Scootereno, the exhaust tail piece is chromed. Is that an after market piece or did you chrome it? I have been experimenting with chrome wrap but it is so difficult to get the tight curve on the tail piece perfect.

The old pre2007 models were chromed stock.
Except for the type S models which had a satin aluminum look instead of shiny chrome.

For those who want chrome and don't want to use wrap check out Alsa mirrachrome

http://www.alsacorp.com/products/mirrachrome/mirrachrome.htm

they have it in rattle cans too
http://www.alsacorp.com/products/killercans/kc/killerchrome.htm

This stuff looks very very close to real chrome and doesn't go bad in the weather like other paint. It is however expensive and requires layers starting with a black base then a clear then the chrome and then a clear again. You also have to wait between the coats so it isn't quick.
