Cheap thottle lock
After trying a Thottle Rocker and having my hand go to sleep and not wanting to spend much for a cruse control, I got a box of #15 "O" rings (1"OD 3/4"ID) at a local harware store. Slipping the "O" ring over the bar-end weight and letting it drop down between the thottle grip I found it worked as well as the set screw BMW had on their bikes for years.
This setup works well for me and I can take my hand off the throttle and maintain speed with no problem.
