Well, I bought some inexpensive grips, and tried to install them. The left one went on without a hitch. The right one however, is still on there. It seems that the stock grip and throttle tube are molded the exact same way. Well, to avoid sanding it down and such, I want to just buy a new, smooth throttle tube. Does anyone know of a good replacement to buy, and how to get the existing one off? Thanks.

The best way to get the grip off the "tube" is with compressed air.
I have rolled it up from the end and sprayed wd40 to get it off as well.
Either way don't expect it to be easy.
The whole tube and grip comes off as an assembly otherwise. Any 7/8" assembly will work but may not mate up as well as the factory one does.
