Thermostat after 60K Miles

Great posting and superb photos also - thanks!!! What prompted you at 60K to check on the thermostat.???????

I had a faint smell of coolant when I would turn it off and park in the garage. No puddle, no steam, just a faint smell. When I actually looked at the radiator hoses, I saw the green crusty buildup at the connectors as well as around the thermostat housing. I work on all my cars and knew from experience it was time to replace stuff.

That thermostat just about ......looks like a toy!!!! I never have seen one soooooooo small....!! Thanks again for that great posting with excellent pics, too! :thumbup: :thumbup:
