Picked up a construction nail in my rear tire. It was the original Bridgestone. I called all of the local dealers in Las Vegas, not one of the 3 stocked the tire. The quotes were as high as $158.00 for tire and install. One of the dealers was very reasonable but said 6-8 weeks for delivery of the tire.
Well, Dennis Kirk had the tire in stock and I had it in 4 days. Here was the problem, none of the dealers would mount the tire because I didn't buy it from them.
The local car tire guys wouldn't do it, we don't do motorcycles!
So I took it off, less than 30 minutes to remove the wheel, found a custom "hot rod and bike" guy and he said "no problem" 10 minutes later, all done with balancing, no charge! was I surprised! of course I made it worth his time.
15 minutes to reinstall.
It's a Pereli on the rear, still the Bridgestone on the front, bike handles fine. I'm happy.

To Paul, just said no, don't want the business. One of the dealers, the only one I would do business with, said 35 bucks. That's riduculous, took the shop 10 minutes. I think the Suzuki dealers discourage business from the Burgman owners, at least in LV. Too bad.

There is not a gasket on the manifold, just 2 4mm bolts. Sounds like the front tire is much more difficult to change.

Hi Norm, I didn't see it and it didn't fall off when I had it apart. Must have stayed on the studs.
