Hi folks, I am Terry from Albany, Ga., in what we calll SouthWest Georiga.
I live on the Flint River about 10 miles out of town. Enjoy fishing, especially this time of year for Crappie. Also enjoy searching the river and land around for indian artifacts. Of course my greatest love is riding the two wheelers. I currently ride a Yamaha 650 Vstar Custom and a Stella 150cc scooter. The VStar is the perfect motorcyle for me and enjoy it very much. Would recommend it to anyone who needs a low seat height and a bike with no negative mechanical issues. The Stella? A fun little two wheeler. One must accept it for what it is. I joined this forum to get views and information on the Burgman. Test rode one in Florence, S.C. around a month ago and I have not been the same since. What a perfect ride. For touring I truly believe that if your body size won't allow you to ride a BMW or Goldwing, then a great choice is the Burgman 650 or maybe the Silverwing. I believe its the Burgman hands down. I plan to purchase one in the Spring, after I sell one of my bikes and a 1972 Classic Mini Cooper.
Thanks for all of your comments folks, you all seem to be a great bunch of riders.

Welcome aboard Terry! My other hobby other than riding is metal detecting. I enjoy hunting around for artifacts as well.

Hey Allan,
I have enjoyed metal detecting in the past, but I sold my "White's" metal detector years ago. I never found anything worth very much, just a lot of nails, bottle caps, and a few "new" coins. However, it was fun at the time and would probably enjoy it again. Indian artifacts are harder to find now, but there are still some laying around. In Georgia it is against the law to find arrowheads now and keep them. I understand why this law passed, but all in all its a very stupid law. 99 and 1/2% of collectors are not out there digging up burial grounds. Anyway, I am usually a law abiding citizen, but I guess I might spend my last days in jail if I get caught.
Safe Riding and happy Holidays!
Terry
