Hello there Guys,

I was just wondering where the temperature gauge normally rests after a full warm up of this engine. Its been rather cool (40F) here in Vancouver and my 400 is slightly above the half way point when idling in traffic. Also I was wondering about the idle rpm. Mine is set to 1300 rpm and it seems a bit on the high side. If I were to lower it to 1000 or so is that advisable??

I just ticked over 180 kms and going strong on my second tank of gas ...cost a total of $7.21 (Canadian funny money) to fill up. Thanks

My temperature gauge is at the mid point also. The manual says the idle should be 1,400 to 1,600 rpms. I would think you may experience stalls at 1,000 rpms. I am going to set mine at 1,600 to smooth out the idle.
