This is a single handed sailing (world) record attempt with web links.

Team Ellen

If you are interested in this sort of thing - may be worth popping in form time to time.

Hi Seatec, she is English of coures. She is an accomplished yachtswoman and has done RTW before single handed. But this route is a first for her.

Yeah - the sea (like mountains) makes you realise how insignificant we are!!

Hi Wayne

Yeah I watched it on the BBC too! :) It really is a great achievement, probably more so with the fact that she is just a 'wee slip of a lass'.
While I like to get one over the French - they too have taken Ellen to their hearts (after the last Vendee challenge) and she is their hero too! :)
Unfortunately, Falmouth is 3 and a bit hours from me and she will be arriving around 9am local - I will be at my place of work

My colleague and I toyed with the idea of hiring a boat and meeting up at sea with the flotilla but work committments prevailed.

It is nice to see her finish - but what the hell am I going to do with all the time I will save not visiting the Team Ellen website.........mm BUSA or GOM ......eeny meeny :D

Well done to Ellen.
Everyone has a wish to do something extra special, mine is to ride my Burgman back to the UK from Saudi Arabia.
