Thinking of taking a 4 day group ride and was shopping for a tail bag. I already have a Givi V46 top case. Has anyone purchased a Moto Centric Mototrek Tail Bag? I found it on the Motorcycle Super store website. It looks like a nice bag to supplement the Givi V46 for solo long trips. It was designed to mount on the tail behind the passenger seat but I would mount it directly on the rear seat and use the tie straps to the hand holds. The price is about $79. It has all kinds of nice features with lots of endorsements but would like a Burgman riders opinion.

I suspect that this tail bag would work just fine strapped to the rear seat. Just make sure that it won't slide off the side and you'll be good to go. I always take several extra straps just in case.

Biker's Friend bags

Take a look at this site. The Biker's Friend is unique and functional, as well.

I've been considering one for quite some time, but hadn't made a move, until I recently saw one on a parked cruiser. I got a chance to talk to the folks who were from Canada and on an extended touring ride, and I got all the particulars about the Biker's Friend.

I ordered a small size to use on my motorcycle (the size recommended by the company for my particular bike), and it will work nicely on my 650, too, but if I was only going to use it on the scooter, I would have gotten one of the larger sizes.

Here's the addy for the Biker's Friend home page: http://www.bikersfriend.com
and on this page, http://www.bikersfriend.com/pages/suzuki.htm, at the very bottom, you can see the bag used on a Burgman 400.

I have the Nelson-rigg CL1040 as well, fits the seat perfect.
Get the strap kit with the hooks

I am also adding a pair of Nelson -rigg CL 850 Saddlebags to replace my Givi hard bags

They just look better and are much larger.

I also have the Nelson Rigg EXP 200.

Both Nelson Rigg bags are very sturdy and well made.

I use the Cortech Tailbag 82-411 as part of the Cortech Tri-bag system that I use daily.

The Cortech is a nice size duffel that fits perfectly on the 650 passenger seat.

I wish we were closer in proximity in FL so that you could get a real hands on these bags. I'm on the Space Coast. All the best with your selection.

These are all great reports and a ton of help. Now I feel more confident when ordering. I wish I could find a post like this on saddle bags.
