I noticed on the Suzuki Canada site that they are now calling it a motorcycle not a scooter.
Is this something new?

The 2005 Suzuki Burgman 650

And now for something completely diffeent. A 650cc machine featuring the versatility of an electronically controlled transmission that can switch from automatic to manual at the push of a button. A motorcycle with a convenient step-through design and a focus on comfort and ease of operation. A touring machine that combines innovative styling, features and class-leading performance. The Burgman 650.

They still have the 650 listed under the Scooter subsection. I think they are trying to blur the difference between a scooter and a motorcycle when it come to the 650......................

Or its just a typo

Thanks for the info Alburg I've been waiting for the release of the demo days. Since Suzuki HQ is only 15 minutes straight up my street I will definetely be there. I will hopefully be first in line for a ride on the 650 V-Strom or the DRZ 650 dual sport. The 400 Motard would be fun also.

Many a true word.....

May 14th is pretty close to mid May  , the approximate time I was told my bike would be here.
I keep hoping they are wrong and will call me sooner, but I think what you just said kind of rings true as far as that goes.

Suzuki may not worry too much about delivering MY scoot on time but they will surely not miss an apportunity like that to have an Exec here.

So I may get mine about the same time as the demo, more or less.

It is best to check with your local Suzuki dealer for demo dates; I believe that the Nanaimo demo dates are in late may for Suzuki & Honda.

Lilleyen the Suzuki UK web site calls the AN650 a super scooter. Maybe Suzuki Canada liked our description the best, step through motorcycle. I’ll call the boys at the docks in Vancouver and see if your 650A has arrived, just remember the Vancouver docks are very near Nanaimo and Burlington is so far away. I find the best way to deal with the wait is to go out and shop for accessories for the 650A and maybe some new riding cloths and shoes. :D

Thanks Al.
Been doing that
Helmet, boots, jacket, gloves, face shield, headlight modulator, tail light flasher, helmet decals, Dowco Ultra light bike cover, grey sheepskin seat covers, etc. etc.

Got my M2 last weekend, and I'm going to the BIG motorcycle show this weekend.
Making up a wish list too for my birthday May 25th for the family.
Fiamm horn, polishes, oil, filters etc, little things, I will need.

It all helps a little.

Last night I went down to the dealers and sat on a burg for a while, shot the breeze, and came home and listened to Pete's sound track he did for me, so I could hear the engine.
It helps, but I still need my burg.

Rick, I guess that you don’t have a scoot/bike to ride until you get your 650A? I purchased my AN400 on Sept. 11/04 and have put 9,846 km. on it since then. :) We had 2 ½ weeks this winter where riding was not on due to snow. During the past 2 weeks we have had a fair amount of rain with a couple of good days for riding. I rode down to Victoria yesterday, as it was a nice sunny day. The sun will return on Monday so I will be back on the road riding again. :D

If Suzuki was smart they would have the executive on display at the motorcycle show, I’m guessing in Toronto. Let us know what was of interest at the show.

RICK!!!!
You are NOT, I repeat NOT, going to have time to have time either install or play with all the 'toys' and addons that you are collecting!
Other than you sheep skin, gloves and helmet you ain't going to have time BECAUSE you will be out riding with this HUGE, stupid but wonderful grin on your face!! :D
I think that you are a Saint, I know that I could never wait as long as you have and are!
Hang in there, they say that good things come to those who wait and wait and wait and wait.

Thanks for the moral support Ken.

Don't know about the saint part, but you are probably right on about the time thing.
Will install the goodies when it's raining and yucky out.

It has been a loooong time.

I started all this last October.

I was at Orca Bay Suzuki (in Port Coquitlam, BC) yesterday checking things out and their demo day is on April 30.
