Got a puzzler. 2006 Burgman 400 with 50,000 plus happy riding miles.

Fuses are all ok. Replaced supposedly problem Headlight bulb with new bulb. Low beams work. High beams don't. Any suggestions aside from cleaning starter switch or do you think that cleaning the starter switch is the next feasible step.
PS Both low beams work-both high beams don't. Flicking the high beam switch just shows low beams working and no light otherwise on high beams.

If the low beams work then the starter switch is not the problem. If it were sticking then both llow and high beams would be out.

I would look at the dimmer switch.

Current update: pulled apart starter, cleaned etc. and you're right. The high beam still doesn't work. Thanks Craig. Will check the dimmer switch.

Finally resolved, dealer replace bulb socket, corroded.
