Anybody that has owned or even priced an EV should be able to see the numbers are bogus.
Not like with like, where are Service costs? Etc
No, most Tesla owners do not opt for FSD at $12,000, take up is only 11% ...and so on.

Plenty if models come in EV and ICE at same trim level. These models were selected
ted to show an outcome and still falsified.

The cost of my EV, charging and servicing paid for itself in under 3 yrs just through savings on fuel and servicing.

Did you check that claim about the VW battery being custom built to the vin?
The ones I’ve seen were modular units. There was just a software edit to the motors controller after it was fitted to tell it what vehicle/application it was in so that it used the right input/output values.

How much of the US Defense budget goes toward securing global oil supplies from the Middle East? How much easier would Europe's part in the resistance to Russia's imperialist genocide in Ukraine be if they hadn't let themselves become dependent on Russian gas?

The materials for batteries aren't rare (despite being called 'rare earth metals' they really aren't), they're just environmentally nasty to extract. China's government is willing to accept that mess, and their citizens don't have much choice in the matter. They've also been caught out at dumping heavily subsidized solar panels on the market to crush competition (that's really what killed Solyindra, by the way, and it was proven in court but by then it was too late for them).

The US and the West in general could produce all these, it's just that China's a cheaper source so the production and the jobs go there.
This is a choice. We can make other, better choices.

And the last bit about "mak[ing] certain wealthy people richer" -- isn't that spaceship guy on your side now, what with his going all radical freeze peach with his new bird-website toy? Sort of a moot point, though, now that the major car companies are getting into EVs with their experience in massive-scale manufacturing. Tesla had first-mover advantage, the ability to sell pollution credits to the rest of the car industry, and a CEO with a reputation for smarts. Oops.

You wanted to question the science - Rasool and Schneider questioned it - and retracted it in 1974
That’s how it works.

Peer review made it clear they had made errors and assumptions and used Hanson’s “off planet” calculation model which wasn’t appropriate.
They accepted their error and that data showed strong warming, not cooling and they had got it wrong on multiple points, and continued to refine the body of knowledge.

I recommend seeking out their later work and also Hanson’s work on thermal protection for space exploration vehicles/components that came from his model.

Atmospheric dust does indeed play an important role and is a part of all calculations

Today’s climate alarmists story is unquestionable, and will never be deemed wrong and retracted in the future. Rip up the planet to manufacture millions and millions of huge batteries, and millions and millions heavy of new vehicles , charging stations…..to lower CO2 from 0.04%, to 0.03%. You’re right. There’s no way that the future will look back on that, as a failed environmental agenda. Impossible.

Assuming this post is also seen... People who have stated in the past, 'its settled', 'the science'. Usually they "don't retract" or if they do so they will have reasons and they should state them. You don't specify why so who knows. 'Scientists' are like anyone else. No better or worse.

The point of that vid by Rossman was about vendor lockin and or right to repair and the possibility it will infect this industry more also. I did not verify this particular scenario, holiday for me, and if you watched the video, unless you have one to experience the problem, you wouldn't know about it as it's not in their marketing. It's possible that the particular dealer in question lied to the owner or the owner is lying and VW doesn't have the problem described. Many conditions are possible.. 😮

Not sure if that 'issue' exists outside the USA. He has been asked to speak of this problem in some EU committees if that is relevant to some.

Rossman is an apple repair guy so he may not follow some people's standards as an 'authority' but he's been 'fighting', testifying in committees etc., for right to repair in all industries for some time due to his problems with apple.

It happens every day, that is what scientific debate is, you just aren’t aware of it.
