Starter motor is not engaging with the engine by your description. Suggest you pull the starter motor and investigate.

Starter is turning engine over, just keeps turning engine over without firing ,even with key out and turned off,I have to disconnect neg cable on battery to stop it?How the heck is engine turning over with key out and ignition off?AND not firing?
Original problem was pressed starter button and nothing happened. So replaced starter solenoid/relay it was running fine until starter button stopped working, took it apart and cleaned terminals first, then fitted new relay.

You have somehow got a live feed to the starter solenoid. You need to trace it. Start with the wires from the starter switch which trigger the solenoid if they are live and the starter switch is not pressed you need to find out what is causing it. This circuit is controlled by the ignition. Volt meter time.

You also might reinstall the original relay and look at the start button on the right handgrip.
