On Saturday we did a road trip to St Jacobs bright and early. http://www.stjacobs.com
We lucked out and got a parking spot for our Burgmans right on the strip before the traffic arrived. Beautiful village. Had breakfast at the STONE CROCK RESTAURANT for their Saturday Buffet ~ 8 a.m. to 11 a.m $7.99. Not a typical buffet. This one served local Mennonite style thick country sausages, assorted baked breads and sweets, plus bacon, eggs, pancakes, french bread, vat of oatmeal, cereals, yogurt, fresh cut fruits, bottomless coffee etc etc.
While walking through the village, there was always a large crowd of lookers congregating around our parked bikes. We stuffed our Givi trunks with local baked goods and treats. Rode over to the giant Farmers market, and then home. It's a fun scooter trip to take your sweetie on.

Did you get a chance to check out the RiverWorks building. They have a wide assortment of shops that carry unique stuff. I drive thru St. Jacobs on my way up to Kincardine every Friday night. That is quite a nice drive from the Hamilton area and you sure picked a great day to go!

I'm not sure which building was Riverworks....but we went into all the buildings/shops on the strip.
I guess my next ride out that way will be to Elora, Elmira and Fergus. Can you recommend where to ride to when we visit again ?...or any good breakfast/lunch places?

Well there is a good place to eat on the way into Elmira on Highway 86 just as you entering the city limits on the left hand side. You could also visit the new casino in Elora if you are so inclined. Lots of signs on how to get there. I haven't been there yet myself. Elmira also has a Timmy's on Highway 86 as you enter the city.

Make sure you vist the Elora gorge for some great swimming in the quarry. Then if you're game go down to Port Satnley on Lake Erie for the beach and Mackie's fabulouse fries. Let me know when you're coming and I'll ride down and meet you.

Ah....a food tip
I like the sounds of Mackie's famous fries. I've never been to Port Stanley. That looks like a long ride for fries. I might just be up for it later this year. Thanks Harold.
