They're pretty nice and this is certainly a personal issue, but I've found horizontal size to be far more important than vertical size in a motorcycle mirror. It's good to see the sky and the road, but much more important to see traffic behind me. It might make more sense if the road rises and falls a lot where you live, but it's dead-flat here in Florida.
Yeah they might look a bit ugly, they're an extra 2 inches in height... I do like fact they're black, I just don't like chrome in the sunlight. Research shows that the threads into a standard 10mm for the jap bikes.
I prefer a lot more coverage like a van or car mirror... I'll give these go let you know how we do, I think they'll be alright.
