If the spark plug is in another location then I can't help you. I can tell you that on the 03+ US models to get to the plug you either have to remove the air cleaner and come at it from the top or remove the lower left body panel under the floorboard and come at it from the bottom. On the 03+ bikes it it located on the left hand side of the cylinder head.

If yours has a belly pan that will likely have to come off too. Once you get the body panels out of the way look up from above the front of the CVT and you should be able to see it .

I usually do mine from the top when I check the valve clearance. You have to take the air cleaner housing off for that anyway.
