Nice job, can you elaborate on the installation of the mirror arrow LEDs? I'd love to try to do the same on mine.

Thanks,
Thank you..its easy..order the hidden led arrows from eBay.. and use an old cridet card to take out the mirror from the black rubber shell ,,(around the mirror glass) but be gentle coz If u force It u wIll break the glass :s..after taking it out you should scratch the back of the mirror .just to a very small area to the number of each led bulb..to let the light pass through the mirror..'re fit the mirror and that's it..good luck

Do you have any photos of the mirror turn signal LEDs from the rider position? Curious if they can be seen. Most cars have them so they can only be seen by traffic on either side and not blind or distract the driver.

Do you have a link for the "hidden LED" signals on Ebay? I've seen the ones that stick on the outside of the mirror.

Thanks!

MJR,

Just poked around on Ebay and found a bunch of 'em. Different colors, essentially same style w/ some price variation. Will probably order a set and make this a project. I'd put Muth signal mirrors on my GL1800 and besides the bling effect, found them to be a good but expensive farkle for safety.

Extra lighting is definitely worth it to be seen on a motorcycle. I'm a little behind in my own lighting upgrades.

That looks like the factory seat heater switch, is it? I would love to add that to mine. Where did you get all the necessary parts for that?

Funny when I was at the motorcycle show I talked to a factory rep and he mentioned something about them offering the seat heater as an accessory but said it was too expensive. Has anyone seen it?

Thanks for posting that up. I see from the photo that you had to remove some of the mirror coating on the back of the glass. Wondering how you get those spots scraped. Also it looks like from the photo that your left side handlebar covers are not on all the way (large gap to the switches and the sight glass for the master not lining up).

On the add on lights how's the beam pattern? They look like they are meant to be installed horizontially which would make the beam pattern up/down. That might be fine for driving lights but not so good for fog or oncoming traffic. Nice on the seat heater.
