I had a guy come by today to take a look and a quick ride. Ends up offering me $1800, to which I declined, stating that the price is $2100. So he offers $1900 then quickly offers $2000, hems and haws, kicks the tires and starts in on how much it'll cost to get a scratch repaired. I reminded him that the scooter is 16yo after all, and bound to have a few scratches, and the price is $2100. Then he got mad. Face and neck turned red, and told me I was unreasonable. Mumbled something about how he might change his mind and would call me if he did.

I told him he might want to look at the 4 Majesty 400s listed on CL in Seattle and surrounding areas if he wanted to see unreasonable prices. Price there start at $3200 and goes up from there. I don't get it, around here people expect you to take less than the stated price, even when the stated price is pretty decent.

I ended up blocking his number, just in case he decides he wants it. I'm rather particular whom I sell to, and this guy acted like a jerk simply because I didn't accept his low offer. He won't be buying this Majesty.

What gets me ticked is when people ask “What’s the lowest price you’ll take for it?”
Duh, if I tell them, they’ll go straight down to it and I no longer have any bargaining room. Then the jerks usually try to chisel you down from there, even though you just made it clear that was your lowest price you’d take for it.
To me lowest price should be like the secret reserve price that a seller on ebay only knows is the minimum he’ll take for it.
In other words, that’s for me to know and for you to find out. Keep haggling and we’ll talk from there.
BTW, I checked out the selection for sale out there and not only is yours the best price, but it also seems to have the lowest mileage at that!
