The burg is a bit rough on bumps, any mods out there to soften her up, she's set on 1 at the spring!

Have Mines Set on #6 Position 1,2,3,4 does not Run as well on the Transmission Since all the Weight is on the front there is Performance Lost on those Numbers.

If you want Smoove get new tires, Brigestone Hoops are Very Hard on Bumps and Cracks ,

Pirelli Diablo are very cool feel to them. there Soft and much Quieter on Street Surfaces.

There may be Some Performance Suspensions out there but Not for Are Model ,You will have to Modify the Brackets.

It is what it is. If I want really smooth riding, I get my V-Strom 650 out.

1 is the lowest setting and is a little softer. If you go softer still you may get handling problems. A colleague had a new spring and damper unit made by a suspension specialist and regretted it. Remember that if you go softer at the back it alters the steering trail and the bike handles very differently. You can test this by going up to 7. Notice how the bike turns in sharper, more quickly to corners. Going the other way has the opposite effect but with the added effect of bouncing around all over the road. Maybe add gel seat pad instead!

If you want to soften the ride and get better grip put a car tyre on the rear wheel. Best thing I ever did to my 650. I also pulled all the oil from the front forks and cleaned them out. Then put back 12ml less than came out and drilled the fork caps for air fittings and hooked them to an air valve fitting and ended up with 14 psi in them. Took care of the brake dive and smoothed out the front quite a bit. Mine is an 08 model that was a few years old when I got it. I did the mods after doing some research on this forum.

Yes! If you have 400cc '07' onwards with the standard rear suspension unit you will have 7 settings. I run on number 5 but have two high settings left. Your owners manual will tell you.
