leo vince on my 15 650....one piece header and muffler not a slip-on.
sparky is correct. the original exhaust is one piece. I installed a titanium muffler from zx12. required a cut and weld. but love the results. I was after quiet, weight savings and looks. substantially mo quiet than stock. shaved 10lbs. and a quality looking piece if you ask me. and I like that it is BIG.

That’s amazing what’s it’s name and what’s it cost ?
I have been avoiding sharing my secret for a few years. I have all my bigger bikes (an650, silverwing, mp3 500, majesty 400) running this can.
its from motorcycle era when the cat wasnt separate and under the bike. that style results in a muffler without much in it as the cat does most the muffling. the can is from 1999-2000 zx12. made entirely from titanium it cost 1600 from the factory. about 16th that cost on ebay. there is also a smaller zx9 version that works just as well. I like the tone and size of the bigger muff.

I would need to make a detailed thread on the caveats to mount muffler. there is a trick to maintain/gain tq over the original. poorly designed mounting strategy will result in a substantial tq loss to the original. the cat on this bike is mounted to midpipe that extends into the first chamber of the muffler. so there will be no cat, just an open chamber to dissipate the heat.

Here,s my budget setup. The link pipe for a kawaski z300 off amazon and the can from ali express.Very pleased with the results.OEM can =7kg this 1.5kg.Cruising noise level same as standard deep sporty tune when winding on.Engine seems to rev more freely, can't detect any loss of torque .Above 5000rpm it appears to have more go(seat of the pants dyno).Big win in my opinion for the price.Link pipe needs some persuading to fit to 38mm pipes coming together but it's slotted so 2lb hammer and a couple of strong stainless clips and the jobs a goodun.

Surprised you didn’t remove some of those silly warning labels while you were there, modifying your exhaust😉
That was one of my first missions when I bought mine.

I have all those parts in my like parts stash. I also have a titanium can that I pulled off of my 1250 Bandit. I have thought about this, but I am one of the weird ones. I really like the finished look of my exhaust I know it's large and heavy but I just think it finishes off my bike. I don't really need to trim any weight off the bike, probably need to trim some weight off my lard arse.

Good, nice job! I would love to hear that.
