A tastefully customised black 650 here in Tokyo. This is the nearest you can get to an AN650 Type S.

Modifications:
1. Chrome replaced by black trim
2. Skywave insignature removed
3. Front forks painted black
4. Brake assembly front and rear painted black
5. Wheels painted black, front and rear

I’ve considered doing this to my white from the start, but have never got round to it. Perhaps it’s about time to put that right.

I saw a guy riding one at the weekend and thought that there must be a photo of this custom 650 on-line. The Japanese are compulsive customisers, and love to document their modifications step by step, so I gambled right that there had to be at least some imagery out there.

This is as good as it gets image-wise, but the mods are as described. Simple black paint on the wheels took away that Captain Sensible edge and converted that stately road presence that the 650 has into skulking aggression, especially in black. I'm expecting it to look sharp and sporty in white.

All depends on the cost of painting etc as to if/when I do it.

For those with very good eyesight, you can see the front wheel, forks etc, but it's not the best picture in the world. If I locate any better ones I'll post them up.

Toots was hoping it was a vibration plate. The only thing I like about that pansy ass thing is that they sawed the mud flap off'n it.
