I cannot find the post by Rollingbones as I remember it contains instructions on how to open the mirror to attach the signal wires to the flasher... I did it once but have bought a neater signal and I want to mounts them instead of the little 3 leds stuck to the edge of the mirror...

Does anyone remember how to open the mirrors to access the wiring???
thanks

On mine I just fished an extra wire in the sleeving after pulling the lamp out and mirror off.

Pop out the little plastic cap on the underside of the mirror. Remove the screw, pop out the turn signal lens.

I recently added some LED turn signal reminders to my 650, had been putting it off for ever.

I made my own small LED setup from 10 cents LEDs, total cost was around $1.00 for the whole setup including connectors etc.

Have a DIY in the making which I will put out soon,

Meanwhile here is a pic of what my setup looks like, I have a strip on the handlebar, made of two LED pods, where it is most
visible and two small LED strip inside the mirror housing just for fun. The one on the handlebar works best as it gets my
attention no matter what, it is wired so it comes on when either turn signal is active.

the quickest and easiest way to tap into the turn signal wires is to simply remove the turn signal lens and
insert your wires into the power harness and reconnect it.

Here is a DIY on how to remove the turn signal lens:

Remember that the 650 mirrors are not the see through kind so you can't add anything on the back side without first removing the mirror coating.
