I used the manual buttons ocassionally, just for fun. However, I used the power button on a regular basis.

Those Buttons

Hi Guy's
Well I think the manual change is a bit gimmicky myself.I don't think you can beat the full auto mode and just switching between power and normal.Susuki got it just right in selecting the ratio's for us.

Auto...all the way. Power in extreme times of need. very rare. The shift feature is gimmicky.. I tried the manual mode once and I found it too disracting..

Do any of you use the manual shift, or leave it in auto :?:
On two test rides with the AN650, I noticed that manual downshifting does not go smooth at all. At that moment I decided that manual shift is a rather useless feature.

When my An650 arrives, I expect to use auto all the time. Perhaps manual shift has some function during the break-in period to vary the RPM.
