My great SO brought my Burgy down to the bay area where I am working on a contract job. I have been working on getting it dewinterized (live up near Portland, so the bike takes a hibernation nap) and commuted the first time. As I was approaching work at a stoplight, I noticed that the speedometer shows 49999.9. Rolled through the intersection and it kicked over right then and there. Whooo Hooooo.

Been very good to me except for a blow regulator and sympathetic stator, all is well with the bike.

Rubber side down.

Bob

50K is outstanding and a real milestone !! Lots of times the only people that write about maintenance issues are those who experience problems for one reason or another. The rest of us are out there riding. My Burgie (an 07) will approach 50K this riding season and she's only required tires and a battery. I'm very good at preventive maintenance and I'm taking her to 100K and beyond.

Congratulations on 50K milestone! I hope to join those ranks. I'm approaching 30K on an AN650K8. A local Suzuki dealer in Titusville, FL were using a 650 (year unknown) for errands and it had over 90K miles on it. Happy Trails. :D
