I am a Welsh ex pat currently living in Goa India,I will be returning to U.K. in may this year,could someone please tell me the maximum length and width of the seat of a 400 ,as i want a leather seat cover made here before i leave India

2 yards of fabric/leather needed for the seat but to have it made without the seat on hand would be absurd IMHO.
Too many contours and seams to match up without a good pattern or the seat available.
I just finished recovering a Harley and BMW motorcycle seat this weekend and would never trust anyone to blindly make a seat-cover based on a simple measurement. :wink:
But if you just need shipping measurements it is 42"x22"x20" (LxWxH) with the buttrest removed. :thumbup:

You should really have an extra 400 seat cover for them to pattern after. Otherwise it might look kind of odd. The seams on the seat are there for a reason, not just show.... having a seat for them to use would be even better.
